Expertise

Dr. Andreas Keymer is part of the Life Sciences practice group. Since entering the world of intellectual property, Andreas has specialized in biopharmaceutical patents and has gained extensive experience in grant and opposition proceedings before the German and European Patent Offices.

His work focuses on drafting patent applications, handling grant and opposition/invalidity proceedings, preparing FTO/legal opinions, advising on patenting strategies, and managing patent family portfolios. Andreas works for multinational corporations, medium-sized companies, universities, and start-ups in Europe, the US, and Asia.

Before joining Grünecker in 2024, Andreas worked for an established Dutch-rooted IP law firm.

Andreas is a member of the EPI, FICPI, and the German Chamber of Patent Attorneys.

Andreas enjoys spending his free time at concerts, in his roof tent, or on his bike.
