Expertise

Sophia Wünsche advises national and international clients in the field of intellectual property, with a focus on patent law. She holds a degree in electrical engineering and worked in a technology-oriented start-up during her studies.

Her practice includes drafting and managing patent applications and representing clients in examination proceedings before the German Patent and Trademark Office (GPTO) and the European Patent Office (EPO).
She is also involved in opposition proceedings before the German Patent and Trademark Office (GPTO) and the European Patent Office (EPO) and in nullity proceedings before the Federal Patent Court (BPatG). In addition, she is involved in patent infringement proceedings and works closely with attorneys-at-law.

Her technical expertise includes the fields of sensor technology, medical technology, telecommunications, circuit design and machine tools. In addition, she has extensive experience in preparing infringement analyses and in drafting and evaluating validity opinions, in particular in the context of freedom-to-operate assessments.
