The Boards of Appeal of the European Patent Office (EPO) confirmed the revocation of European patent EP 2 771 468 of the Broad Institute relating to CRISPR gene editing technology (Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats). The written decision T 844/18 is now available here. The case received wide attention because of its relevance for the EPO’s assessment of priority.
