Grünecker further strengthens its expertise in patent law and patent litigation with the appointment of Tommy Grosskreutz as Associate Partner at its Munich office.

Tommy is a German Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney, and a Representative before the Unified Patent Court (UPC). His work covers the entire lifecycle of intellectual property rights – from strategic drafting and filing to enforcement. He is particularly experienced in complex inter partes proceedings before the European Patent Office (EPO), the Federal Patent Court (BPatG), and the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA).

His technical focus lies in the fields of mechanical engineering, medical technology, and software. In addition, he has specialized knowledge in the areas of optical security features and quantum cryptography.

In these areas, he represents leading internationally operating companies as well as medium-sized enterprises and start-ups. Another key focus of his practice is advising small businesses on the strategic development of patent portfolios and the enforcement of intellectual property rights.

For Tommy, in addition to technical and legal expertise, the individual support of clients is paramount: “At every stage of a patent’s life, my team and I focus on just one thing – understanding and serving the interests and needs of our clients in the best possible way.”

With the appointment of Tommy as Associate Partner, Grünecker continues on its path of growth. The firm places particular emphasis on the ongoing promotion and development of its own talent.
