With decision of July 2, 2024, the Regional Court Düsseldorf ( case ref. 4c O 19/23) largely granted the claim for infringement of the German part of the European patent 3 372 711 of our Spanish client DryLyte S.L. and confirmed the infringement allegation in full. The parties may appeal the decision.
The patent in suit relates to a process for smoothing and polishing metals by means of ion transport via free solids and to devices for carrying out the method. The complaint was asserted against both the defendant’s devices and the corresponding solid bodies.
