Bastian Mahler advises his clients on registering and enforcing industrial property rights, focusing on trademarks, designs and copyrights. He is also active in the field of competition law, primarily in the area of imitation protection.

Bastian has extensive expertise in the judicial and extrajudicial enforcement and defence of the rights of national and international clients, in particular before all German courts. He also enforces his clients’ rights before the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg.

Bastian also advises on product piracy and counterfeiting, border seizures and issues relating to domain names. His activities include conducting and evaluating intellectual property rights searches and drafting coexistence and licence agreements.

His main areas of expertise are fashion, luxury goods, automobiles, entertainment, software and technology devices.

Bastian Mahler is the father of a son and enjoys playing squash, golf and tennis in his spare time.
