Expertise

Georg Seisenberger’s practice focuses on patent law, particularly in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacy and physics. For more than a decade, he has represented leading chemical, pharmaceutical and medical technology companies, research institutes and academic institutions worldwide.

Georg is regularly involved in opposition, nullity, and patent infringement proceedings and appears before the Boards of Appeal, the Federal Patent Court, the Federal Supreme Court, and the Patent Litigation Chambers.

His main areas of work include drugs and pharmaceutical substances such as therapeutic antibodies, vaccines, recombinant proteins, and small molecules. He is also specialised in virology, genetic engineering, food and feed additives, and diagnostics, including spectroscopy, turbidimetry, and other diagnostic methods.

Georg has designed a lecture on European patent law for Lincoln Law School of San Jose, California, as part of the university’s distance learning program.

He is a member of EPI.

In his spare time, Georg is an active tournament chess player.
