Kirsten Hammerstingl advises clients from Germany and abroad on trademark law matters. She supports them in developing, protecting, defending, and enforcing trademarks before the GPTO, the EUIPO, German courts, and the General Court of the European Union (EGC) in Luxembourg.
She specialises in providing strategic advice and support to globally operating international and domestic companies for establishing, maintaining, and expanding global trademark portfolios and enforcing rights in infringement cases.
Her client base includes major international and domestic corporations as well as medium-sized companies from a wide variety of industries.
Kirsten has extensive expertise in product piracy matters and advises on border seizure proceedings in the EU. Her activities include establishing trademark monitoring by the customs and handling infringement cases, including the destruction of counterfeit goods.
She also assists her clients in domain name disputes and represents them before the courts and alternative dispute resolution bodies.
