Matthias Hertle’s practice focuses on patent law, particularly in general mechanical engineering, automotive, and drive technology. He also advises clients in medical technology and plastics processing.

His primary tasks include drafting patent applications and providing support throughout the entire grant procedure, which encompasses numerous complex opposition and appeal proceedings before the German and European Patent Offices.

Matthias studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich, specialising in automotive and drive technology and Medical Technology.

During his studies, he worked at the Chair of Medical Technology on developing biocompatible plastic materials for medical implants. This experience gave him extensive knowledge in the development and processing of plastics, particularly in medical technology.
