Expertise

Sabine Brandstätter is a lawyer specialising in trademark law. Her practice involves providing comprehensive advice and representing clients in all trademark law proceedings before the German Patent and Trademark Office, the European Union Intellectual Property Office, German courts, and the European Court of Justice.

Sabine has extensive expertise in EU trademark litigation before the European Court of Justice and also offers advice on competition law and copyright matters.

Sabine’s practice focuses on assisting and advising on the legal risk assessment and acquisition of intellectual property rights in connection with new trademarks, including out-of-court and in-court dispute resolution on the way to trademark registration.

She aids her clients in developing filing strategies for international trademark portfolios and supervises their establishment globally, often in collaboration with colleagues from the respective countries. In recent years, she has increasingly concentrated on establishing and defending trademark rights in China.
