Expertise

Stefan Kolenda represents his clients primarily in patent matters, particularly battery, circuit, and sensor technology. He also has expertise in communications engineering and signal processing.

His daily tasks include drafting complex patent applications and professionally managing patent grant proceedings before the German and European Patent Offices. Additionally, he focuses on the prosecution and defence of so-called Standard Essential Patents (SEPs) in the telecommunications field. Another aspect of his work involves preparing expert opinions for freedom-to-operate analyses.

Stefan completed his physics studies at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, where he also earned his doctoral thesis. His doctoral research concentrated on producing metallic nanostructures and investigating the interaction of superconductivity and ferromagnetism at extremely low temperatures. In 2018, he began training as a European Patent Attorney at Grünecker.

Stefan is a member of EPI and DPG.
