Dr. Thomas Kronberger
Expertise
Thomas Kronberger has extensive experience in patent prosecution in physics, mechanical and electrical engineering, and computer-implemented inventions. Over the years, he has also acquired extensive expertise in representing his clients in opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office and the German Patent and Trademark Office.
He is also regularly involved in patent nullity proceedings before the Federal Patent Court and the Federal Supreme Court (BGH). Thomas has built up a strong patent litigation practice. Here, he works as a patent attorney partnering with the firm’s litigation attorneys, particularly in information and communication technology, semiconductor technology, and mechanical engineering. At the Unified Patent Court, Thomas acts both in isolated nullity actions and litigation involving nullity counterclaims.
Due to his experience, he regularly provides expert opinions. His clients particularly appreciate his competent advice on litigation and validity aspects, as well as on IP strategy and management.
Thomas is a member of FICPI and EPI.
