Expertise

Torsten Schmidt has been working in intellectual property since 2008 and has been part of the Grünecker team since 2011. His responsibilities encompass patent searches and the analysis of patent literature, including patent specifications and databases. He is also deeply involved in drafting patent applications for prosecution, opposition, and appeal proceedings across numerous national and international cases.

Crafting complex patent applications constitutes a significant portion of Torsten’s daily endeavours, alongside adeptly managing diverse proceedings at both national and international levels.

His technological expertise primarily centres on physics and is characterised by broad diversification. Torsten’s proficiency spans semiconductor technology, particularly microelectronics, as well as electrical and magnetic components, smart cards, and wind power technology. Furthermore, he possesses knowledge of agricultural technology, particularly in seed singulation and milking systems.
