Expertise
Yilin Jin is a German Patent and European Patent Attorney, an authorized representative before the Unified Patent Court (UPC), and a European Trademark and Design Attorney.
Yilin represents and advises Asian and European companies ranging from Fortune 500 to early-stage start-ups. In addition to years of experience in IP prosecution and opposition proceedings since 2010, he is one of the few Chinese-speaking German patent attorneys with expertise in German nullity and cross-border infringement proceedings.
His clients value not only his experience in litigation, freedom-to-operate searches and settlement negotiations but also his industry knowledge in telecommunications, medical technology, renewable energies and e-commerce.
He is passionate about building bridges between cultures, law and technology, products and markets and, above all, between people. He enjoys evaluating technical and legal issues in an entrepreneurial context with his team, developing practical and pragmatic solutions with colleagues and clients and thus building long-term relationships based on trust.
He regularly lectures and publishes books in China on German and European IP practice. He is a member of EPI, FICPI, INTA and Senator at the German Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade (BWA) e.V.
