Tommy specialises in patent law, with a particular focus on mechanical engineering, medical technology, and software. Additionally, he has expertise in optical security features and quantum cryptography. He represents prominent international companies, as well as medium-sized enterprises and start-ups, in these domains.

A key aspect of his practice involves collaborating with small businesses and providing guidance on portfolio design and enforcement. Tommy’s proficiency spans the entire intellectual property rights process, from drafting applications to enforcement.

He routinely manages comprehensive inter partes proceedings before all pertinent panels of the European Patent Office (EPO), the Federal Patent Court (BPatG), and the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA).

Tommy is a member of EPI and AIPPI.
